Dance classes’ criteria
When selecting your class, the most important criteria are knowledge of steps, formations and ability to assimilate instructions. (rather than the number of years you have been dancing or of dances attended). If in doubt contact Joanne Lawrence on 07747617953 or email: classes@rscdslondon.org.uk for advice.

Very Advanced: participants must be able to execute all steps and formations to a very high standard. They must also be able to illustrate good phrasing, handing and covering. In addition dancers must be able to assimilate instructions quickly and sustain a high level of performance throughout both sessions.

Advanced: participants must be of a high standard, have a sound knowledge of all steps and formations and be able to execute them accurately. In addition dancers should be able to assimilate instructions quickly and be able to maintain a good level of performance throughout both sessions.

Mixed Ability: participants should have a good standard of dancing, a sound knowledge of steps and formations and be aiming to improve their personal technique.

Newcomers and Beginners are encouraged to join our Beginners' course at Maria Fidelis School (starting in early October) or Beginners/Improvers class in Richmond (resumes late September).
NB: classes allocations will be confirmed at the Day School. London Branch and teachers reserve the right to allocate students to classes as they see fit.
