The Branch runs a large number of dances and classes throughout the year to suit all levels and abilities. We often have additional special events – classes and dances – and provide classes and dances for young people to experience the fun of Scottish country dancing.
The London Branch runs a large number of classes throughout the year. Some of these are regular classes during term-time, others are specialist classes in ladies’ step, highland, advanced technique and classes for young people.
The Branch run several dances and dance events throughout the year. We have dances which mostly take place at St Columba’s Church Hall, Pont St, SW1X 0BD and Open Air dances which take place in various locations.
We hold a Burns supper and ceilidh dance in January which is suitable both for seasoned dancers and those who have not danced before. We also have two dances which aim to encourage beginners and these are allied with a family day for those with dancing children.
The Branch runs an annual Day School each October. There are morning and afternoon classes with an optional afternoon workshop, followed by an evening dance with ceilidh items. There is also a Musicians’ class, leading to playing for the evening dance.

Occasionally the Branch holds special dances and classes on top of their usual programme of events.
