Beginners and Improvers class

Classes are currently suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We will advise members and friend of the branch via the website, eUpdate and social media as soon as we are able to restart. We look forward to dancing with you as soon as possible.

Wednesdays from 7.00 – 9.00 pm during term time.

An introduction to basic steps and formations for new dancers while supporting improvers to develop their technique and general dancing skills.

You don’t need any special clothes or shoes to begin with, just wear something comfortable and soft, flat, light shoes and you don’t have to bring a partner either!

NEW STARTERS & RETURNERS: This class is for regular attenders, usually starting in September. During the year, new starters and returners may attend one class free, where they will be able to try out one or two dances, then watch the rest of the session. They will then be asked to pay for a block of five classes, to show their intention to attend regularly.

REELERS & BALL/CEILIDH/WEDDING ATTENDEES: This class is not suitable for people who wish to take only one or two classes. Private tuition sessions can be arranged, so please do get in touch via the classes coordinator.


Classes take place at Park Walk Primary School, Park Walk, London SW10 0AY.

Cost: £7 per class for RSCDS members, £9 per class for non-members. Termly rate available
