85th Anniversary Dance 2015

Branch members were joined by friends from affiliated groups across London to celebrate our 85th Anniversary in fine style on 31 October.

A team of volunteers had transformed the lower hall at St Columba’s into a venue befitting the occasion and the floor was full of dancers, many dressed in 1930s’ style, who revelled in the wonderful music of The Craigellachie Band.  An excellent buffet supper sustained everyone through a programme which featured dances associated with the Branch. Many thanks to all our members who helped to make this very special and memorable evening such a resounding success.

Dance Programme: The Happy Meeting, All for Mary, Autumn in Appin, Miss Mary Douglas, Culla Bay, Fraser’s Favourite, Mrs Stewart’s Jig, Anna Holden’s Strathspey, The Earl of Mansfield, The Duke of Atholl’s Reel, Mrs Hamilton of Wishaw, Westminster Reel, Miss Milligan’s Strathspey, The Dancing Master, None So Pretty, MacDonald of the Isles, Major Ian Stewart, Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
