Young People and Family Dance

Come and join us for a programme of easy Scottish dances - all will be talked through. Everyone welcome.

There will be a class from 11.30 a.m. till 12.45 p.m.for children with a special gentle introduction for the grown ups at the same time to help them join in the afternoon dance.

Dances will be chosen from: Cumberland Reel, The Dashing White Sergeant, The Dhoon, Espie McNab, The Flying Scotsman, A Jig for Mrs Dunn, Jig to the Music, Johnnie Groat’s House, The Merry Reapers, Petronella, Leap Year, Rabbie’s Reel, Reel for Jeannie, Round Reel of Eight, The White Cockade and Wild Geese.

Admission: £2.50. Special Day Ticket (includes class, lunch and dance) £5.00

Everyone is welcome for all or part of the day. Dances in the afternoon will be talked through.

Ian Robertson

Ian Robertson played for many years with his band Sound Company alongside Chris Oxtoby on accordion and his sister Judith on piano. Now that the band has disbanded, Ian mainly plays solo fiddle.

Your MC....Angela Young

Angela has taught the Branch children’s classes for several years. She has MC’d for the Youth dances on many occasions and currently also teaches the Branch demonstation team.
