Young People and Family Dance

Come and join us for a programme of easy Scottish dances - all will be talked through. Everyone welcome.

There will be a class from 11.30 a.m. till 1.00 p.m. for children with a special gentle introduction for the grown ups at the same time to help them join in the afternoon dance.

Dances will be chosen from: Cumberland Reel, Dashing White Sergeant, The Dhoon, Espie MacNab, Highland Fair, The Flying Scotsman, A Jig for Mrs Dunn, Jig to the Music, Johnny Groat’s House, The Merry Reapers, Petronella, Rabbie’s Reel, Reel for Jeannie, The Round Reel of Eight, The White Cockade, Wild Geese.

Admission:  £2.50. Special Day Ticket (includes class, lunch and dance) £5.00

Everyone is welcome for all or part of the day. Dances in the afternoon will be talked through.

Iain Cathcart and his band

Ian Cathcart’s band has been together for over 15 years. They broadcast regularly on “Take the Floor” and have released 2 CDs.

- The normal lineup is accordion/s, fiddle, drums, bass and keyboard.

Angela has taught the Branch children’s classes for several years. She has MC’d for the Youth dances on many occasions and currently also teaches the Branch demonstation team.
