Music Workshops

For musicians interested in learning more about and playing Scottish music, the RSCDS London Branch runs an annual Musicians’ Workshop in the London area. Past tutors have included Freeland Barbour, Pete Clark, Neil Copland, Gillian Cummins, David Hall, Muriel Johnstone, George Meikle, Ian Muir, Ian Muir of Prestwick, Maureen Rutherford and Keith Smith.

The next Musicians’ Workshop takes place at the Branch Weekend School from 5th - 7th May 2010 led by Nicol McLaren. There is another workshop at our Day School on 16th October, 2010 led by Ian Robertson.

Berks/Hants/Surrey Borders Branch RSCDS  will hold their annual workshop in March, 2010. The workshop has morning and afternoon classes and the opportunity to play for the evening dance.

The Chiltern Fiddle Rally (formerly the Aylesbury Fiddle Rally) takes place at the Swan Theatre, High Wycombe. A fiddle orchestra of 100 players perform to a packed house each year. Fiddle players welcome. The next rally will be on Sunday xx January, 2011. Click here to view the 2010 flyer.
