Ian Robertson has played for dancing for over 30 years, developing a passion for traditional music at an early age. He first played fiddle for dancing as part of a family trio and over the years has earned respect as both a band musician and a solo performer. For 13 years Ian led Sound Company, one of the busiest bands in the South of England, recording 3 albums of Scottish dance music.
Ian now leads his band on accordion. The old trademarks are here: uncompromising focus on the tempo and phrasing required for dancing built on great sets of tunes from a wide range of sources.
