Elaine's News Roundup

The ladies in the London Branch demonstration team had great pleasure in giving a display, choreographed by Angela Young, of some London Branch dances at our dance celebrating 60 years of The Reel.  The dances in the display were The Merry Uplanders, Argyll is my name, Bydand, Nacton Hall and The Dancing Master (photo to follow).

Paul Plummer
London Branch is very pleased to welcome Paul Plummer as the new teacher for the demonstration class/team, from 20th September 2011.

Paul started dancing aged 8, joining Manchester Branch, St Johns Club, Wokingham, (secretary for several years), and later Berks/Hants/Surrey Borders Branch (chairman for three years in the 1980's) and London Branch (joined  the dem team in 1981) following Bill Ireland in teaching the class/team from 1989-1992.  In addition he has taught a children's class for ten years, taught at Summer School in St Andrew's, has started a Scottish country dancing class through Adult Education in Guildford and taught other classes in the area as well as teaching abroad.

The demonstration team are looking forward to Paul's wealth of experience, vast skill base, energy and enthusiasm as the new term starts.
